As part of Mitre 10’s Sapphire initiative, the Wallington site was earmarked for a comprehensive refit. Following Emrack’s successful improvements at Faggs Mitre 10 South Geelong, the company was awarded the Trade Area works. The plan involved a full relay of the retail floor and significant upgrades to the Trade Building, ensuring both sides of the business benefited from a fresh new design.
Timing was crucial. With the store remaining open, installation was scheduled for early January — a quieter period for trade, but still a high-traffic time for retail. Led by Emrack’s Project Coordinator Angelo Spathis, the team completed the dismantling, relocation, and installation within 5 days. Careful staging and planning ensured minimal disruption and maximum safety for staff and customers throughout the process.
One of the standout achievements was the installation of Emrack’s Cantilever Spreader System, which effectively doubled the Trade Centre’s sheet product storage capacity. This major boost allows Faggs Wallington to stock a wider range of products, better servicing their loyal trade customers and streamlining operations for staff.
Management teams commended the project delivery, noting the professionalism and experience of the Emrack installation team, and describing the process as seamless from start to finish.
The refit has delivered a Trade Centre that is safer, more efficient, and future-ready. With improved compliance, handling capacity, and product range, Faggs Mitre 10 Wallington is now better equipped to meet the demands of its growing customer base.
