Melbourne Truss is a trusted manufacturer of prefabricated wall frames, roof trusses and flooring systems, supplying high-volume timber products to the residential construction sector. Operating from a large-scale facility in Somerton, their team needed a reliable way to store oversized and heavy timber products outdoors — without compromising on safety, access or longevity.

The challenge lay in managing large stock volumes in an open yard, where timber trusses needed to be easily accessible for forklifts but also stored securely to avoid ground clutter and reduce handling risks.

Our Custom-Engineered Cantilever Solution

Emrack was engaged to deliver a fully tailored Cantilever Racking system designed specifically for long and irregularly shaped timber products. The structure was manufactured to withstand the weight and profile of trusses and heavy timber packs, while also enabling clear, open access for forklift loading and unloading.

Crucially, the entire racking system was finished in a durable galvanised coating, making it ideal for long-term outdoor exposure. This weather-resistant finish ensures protection from rust and corrosion, even under harsh Australian conditions — delivering a low-maintenance, long-life solution.
